Hiroshima with black rain

Today is a memorial day that atomic bomb attacked Hiroshima in 1945. It was just 9 days before the surrender of Japan army. More than 100 thousand civilians were killed in a moment. Terrible things happened after that. It was black rain that the radioactive water escaped their hearth.

When I was a child, I have been living in Hiroshima due to father's work. It was 15 years after WWII. I shocked to see the human shadow which was remained at the entrance of Hiroshima Peace Memorial. A man standing in front of the building blocked the heat wave and left black shadow on the stone. People also rushed to the river as they were thirsty throat. This Ota river streaming center of the city reminds us that moment.

Few months ago, I visited Kokura city where was 200km west of Hiroshima. It was an original target but B29 pilot skipped due to cloudy weather so went to Hiroshima. It might be Kokura. I had mixed feeling and the destiny of Hiroshima.
